Alley Nick joined the women's soccer staff in 2010 after a four-year career with the Explorers, and was promoted to assistant coach in 2011.
Nick has twice been named NSCAA Regional Assistant Coach of the Year (2012, 2014) and is a member of the NSCAA’s Rising Stars program.
As an assistant coach, Nick guided La Salle University to four consecutive NCAA Tournament appearances (2011-14). The Explorers also won Atlantic 10 regular season titles in 2011, 2012, and 2014 and consecutive A-10 tournament championships in 2012 and ‘13.
As La Salle's defensive coach, Nick helped establish a backline that has been a force in the A-10. In 2011, the Explorers went unscored upon for the first 11 games of the season and maintained a 0.582 goals against average on the way to an 18-game unbeaten streak.
The Blue and Gold were undefeated in the A-10 in 2012 and 2014, held opponents to a 0.72 goals against average in 2013, and recorded 31 shutouts over those three seasons. Nick has also coached three players to A-10 Defender of the Year Awards: Melissa Sanger (2011), Courtney Niemiec (2012) and Kerri Aiken (2014).
Nick is a staff member with the ECNL's Penn Fusion and  works with athletes at the United States Training Center for Pennsylvania.
Nick played four seasons under head coach Paul Royal from 2006-09, bursting onto the scene in 2006 with Atlantic 10 All-Rookie team selection after her freshman season.
The Washington, N.J. native also finished her career in style, and was named to five postseason teams after her senior season in 2009 including an all-conference nod and an A-10 all-acdemic team selection. Nick was also named to the Philadelphia Inquirer All-Area team, the CoSIDA/ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District 2 team and the Philly Soccer News Women's College Best XI First Team. Â
For her career, Nick scored nine goals with 14 assists for 32 total points.
