On Saturday October 20, Head Coach John Giannini lead the Explorers in a full practice before alumni, former basketball players, Explorer Club members and friends, allowing them a chance for an up-close-and-personal look at what their Explorers will bring to the courts in the 07-08 season.

The guests were pleased, to say the least, as they witnessed the new talent on the team and the strong improvements the Explorers have made from the 06-07 season. Coach Giannini detailed the hard work that the team has made over the past year to be stronger competitors on the court. After the practice, the players and coaches interacted with the guests over lunch, answering their questions and thanking them for their support.

CBS and ESPN commentator Bill Raftery hosted the event. Raftery, a La Salle basketball alum, also hosts an annual golf outing in support of the La Salle men's basketball program. The event, known as the "Friends of Bill Raftery" golf outing, will be held on June 16, 2008.
