EASTON, PA- Rachel Papin (Philadelphia, PA) raced to an 11^th-place overall finish in 20:36 in the women's 6K as the La Salle women finished seventh overall out of  28 teams and 194 runners in regional competition.  She will await word to see if she will advance to the NCAA Championships held in Terre Haute, Indiana on November 19^th.

 

Senior Carolyn Lipovsky (Edison, NJ) also had a strong performance in 20^th place in a time of 20:53.  Papin and Lipovsky make the NCAA All-District Team with their strong showings. 

 

The men were led by junior Korey Edwards (Morris Plains, NJ) in 20^th-place in a time of 30:52 in the 10K race.  Senior Ed Baynes (New Rochelle, NY) followed on the heels of his teammate as he placed 21^st in 30:53.  The team finished sixth overall, out of 28 teams and 201 runners.  Edwards and Baynes earned NCAA All-District honors.

 

Other top finishers for La Salle included senior Adriana Boyle (Havertown, PA) in 67^th, freshman Kristina Kubula (East Fallowfie, PA) in 70^th, senior Christa Pluammer (Quakertown, PA) in 80^th, junior Mary Clare Parrott (Sayville, NY) in 88^th and senior Beth Mayer (Bradley Beach, NJ) in 104^th place. 

 

Other finishers for the men included: senior David Alfano (West Orange, NJ) in 40^th, senior Joe Fedorowicz (Abington, PA) in 47^th, sophomore Trevon Rainford (Philadelphia, PA) in 57^th, junior Ellis Wilson (Coatesville, PA) in 59^th and freshman Sean Ward (Coatesville, PA) in 72^nd- place. 

 

Next up for the Explorers is the IC4A/ECAC Championships, held at Van Cortland Park, NY on Saturday, November 17^th.
