The Explorers end their 2011 season at 7-9-4, while the Colonials (10-6-2) advance to the Atlantic 10 title game on Sunday and will face sixth-seeded and defending champion Xavier.

Although the Explorers outshot the Colonials 17-9 in regulation, the Colonials dominated the overtime periods and outshot the Explorers 8-1 in the extra time.
