PHILADELPHIA – The La Salle men's basketball team will look to extend its winning streak to six games when it travels down I-95 to visit Delaware on Monday at 7 PM.

Scouting the Explorers (7-3)

La Salle is coming off a 76-64 victory over Army last Saturday to improve to 7-3. The victory was the seventh straight at Gola Arena, tying a facility record for consecutive wins. Junior Ramon Galloway made all eight of his shots in the first half, including a career-high six three's, on his way to a career-best 26 points.

The Explorers have won five straight games, the longest winning streak since winning seven consecutive from January 29 to February 18, 2006.

Galloway has been outstanding since missing three games with a concussion is averaging 19.5 ppg. in his last five. He has shot 22-for-33 (66.7%) from the field and 14-for-20 (70%) from three in his past three contests.

Since he returned to action, the Explorers are allowing 56.5 ppg. on defense and they are 6-1 with Galloway in the starting lineup. He leads the team in scoring at 15.6 ppg.

Senior Earl Pettis is averaging 14.7 ppg. and since dislocating his finger on November 26, is shooting 62.5% (25-for-40) and averaging 16.5 ppg. He's shooting 53.8% from three (11-for-21) during that time frame.

Sophomores Tyreek Duren (12.9 ppg.) and Sam Mills (12.6 ppg.) also average double-figures for the Explorers. Mills leads the A-10 in assist to turnover ratio (2.7) and is second in threes per game (2.5).

La Salle is shooting 42.1% from three-point range, which leads the A-10 and is 14th nationally. LU is 15th nationally in three-pointers per game (9.0) and leads in the A-10.

The nine day layoff since the Army game is the longest of the season and the longest since an 11-day layoff from Dec. 8-19, 2007.

Scouting the Blue Hens (4-4)
Delaware (4-4) will also be playing for the first time in nine days after beating Delaware State, 58-42, last Saturday. Jamelle Hagins had 21 points and 19 rebounds for the Blue Hens, while Devon Saddler had 16. Saddler is 13th nationally in scoring average (21.3 ppg.).

Hagins, who has posted a double-double in five straight, averages 14.6 ppg. and 11.5 rpg. for head coach Monte' Ross, a former St. Joe's assistant.

Delaware will play every Big 5 school this year except for Saint Joseph's.

The series
La Salle leads the all-time series 19-3 and is 7-2 all-time at Delaware. La Salle and Delaware met as members of the East Coast Conference from 1974-83. The teams haven't played since 2006 and haven't met in Delaware since 2001.
