PHILADELPHIA – The La Salle men's basketball team will visit Central Connecticut State on Thursday at 7 PM in a non-conference matchup.
Scouting the Explorers (7-4)
The Explorers struggled shooting from three-point range on Monday and suffered a 70-66 loss at Delaware. Senior
Devon White had 15 points while classmate
Earl Pettis added 12 for La Salle.
Junior
Ramon Galloway leads the team in scoring at 15.0 ppg. and would rank in the top 15 in the Atlantic 10 if he had played enough games to qualify. Pettis adds 14.5 ppg., while sophomores
Sam Mills (12.5 ppg.) and
Tyreek Duren (12.3 ppg.) also score in double-figures for head coach
Dr. John Giannini. Mills leads the Atlantic 10 in assist/turnover ratio (3.0).
Duren was recently named a nominee for the Bob Cousy Collegiate Point Guard Award. He ranks seventh in the A-10 in assists (4.2 apg.)
Thursday's game is a homecoming for freshman
Rohan Brown, who grew up in Hartford.
Scouting the Blue Devils (5-5)

The series
La Salle leads the all-time series 5-1 and is 3-0 all-time at Central Connecticut. CCSU is the site of one of La Salle's most entertaining wins in the Giannini era, a 107-106 four-OT victory on December 18, 2005. Steven Smith had 41 points and 10 rebounds for La Salle.
