BLOOMINGTON, IN - Nick Crits finished 24th overall and qualfiied for the quarterfinal round in the preliminary heat of the men's 1500m on day one of the NCAA East Preliminary at the Robert C. Haugh Track and Field Complex.  

Crits ran a 3:50.59, three seconds slower than his top time of the season, but did enough to qualify for the quarterfinal heat which will be run on Saturday.

Also running on Saturday will be sophomore Meghan McGlinchey and junior Stephanie Bearish in the prelimary round of the 5k.  

The final Explorer to qualify for the postseason, junior Catilin Storbeck, also ran on Thursday and finished 42nd overall in the 1500m with a time of 4:36.33.  

All four Explorer qualifiers are making their first apperances in an NCAA Preliminary race.
