EUGENE, Or. – Freshman Vince Perozze and sophomore Kevin Day finished 10th and 11th respectively in the 1500m final on Saturday evening at Hayward Field on the campus of the University of Oregon.
“This is as big as it gets,” said head coach Charles Torpey. “I was very impressed with how they ran on Friday in the preliminary round and I hope these positive results set the tone for next season.”
Day will enter his second season as a member of the Explorer track and field program after a solid rookie year. Day finished 6th in the 800m at the Atlantic 10 Indoor Championships and was a member of the distance medley relay team at the IC4A Indoor Championships that finished seventh overall.
