PHILADELPHIA - Holding the nation's 13th longest home winning streak, La Salle will host George Washington on Wednesday at 7 PM at Gola Arena. The Explorers will look to capture their 13th straight home victory and tie the Gola record for most wins in the building in a single season (11).

Scouting the Explorers (14-6, 3-2 A-10)

La Salle used a strong second half on both ends of the floor on Saturday to defeat Rhode Island, 80-66. Sophomore Tyreek Duren, the A-10 Co-Player of the Week, led all scorers with 21 points while senior Earl Pettis added 19 points. Freshman Jerrell Wright had one of the best games of his young career, scoring 17 points and grabbing eight rebounds.

Junior Ramon Galloway is 14th nationally in three-point shooting (.454) and continues to lead the team in scoring at 14.8 ppg. Pettis adds 14.8 and Duren averages 14.1 ppg. and a team best 4.5 apg. Duren has been hot of late, averaging 18.3 ppg. and shooting 25-for-35 (71.4%) from the field in his last four games.  Sophomore Sam Mills scores 11.9 ppg. to round out the four Explorers in double-figures.

The three-point shot continues to be a large part of La Salle's offense. The Explorers lead the Atlantic 10 in three-point field goals (164) and three-point percentage (.398).

After holding URI's Billy Baron to one-point, La Salle has held the opponent's top scorer at or below his average in 15 of the last 17 games. The Explorers are third in the A-10 in opponents scoring average at 64.2 ppg.

Scouting the Colonials (8-11, 3-2 A-10)

GW has won three straight A-10 games to improve to 3-2 in the league. The Colonials, under first year head coach Mike Lonergan, are just 1-6 away from the nation's capital. Tony Taylor leads the team in scoring (13.4 ppg.) and assists (80), while Lasan Kromah adds 10.6 ppg and a team-best 5.4 rpg. GW averages just 61.9 ppg. as a team.
