Women's Swimming & Diving Defeats Loyola, 174-126

BALTIMORE – The women's swimming & diving team posted a 174-126 victory over Loyola on Friday evening.

The Explorers took the top four spots in the 100-breast and top three in the 200-breast. Junior Jessica Simunek came out on top in both, winning the 100-breast in 1:07.40 and 200-breast in 2:24.46.

Simunek went on to win the 100-fly in 58.55.

Sophomore Greta Reichert won the 1000-free (10:27.51), while freshman Colleen Larkin took the 500-free (5:10.63).

Freshman Amina Wilson won the 100-back (1:00.80).

Katie Snee won the 50-free in 24.46.

The Explorers dominated in the diving competition, as Shauna Hannings, Dahlia Gordon and Paige Frishkorn went 1-2-3- in the 1-meter dive.  Frishkorn, Hannings and Gordon then placed 1-2-3 in the 1-meter dive.

La Salle ended the competition with a victory in the 400-free relay (3:38.91).

The Explorers return to the pool next Saturday to face Penn and UMBC on the Quakers' campus.
