PHILADELPHIA - The baseball dugouts at Hank DeVincent Field are getting a facelift this fall, as the renovation project is under way at the complex. The team is wrapping up its fall schedule and will be greeted in the spring with state-of-the-art dugouts which will be met with great anticipation.
The dimensions of the new dugouts are expected to be 48 feet long x 13 feet wide, almost doubling the size of the former dugouts. They will feature wooden double-benches as well as padded railings with mesh protective screens, as seen in MLB parks. Spacious storage closets will be added as well.
"The program as a whole is very excited about the facilities upgrade," head coach
Mike Lake said. "We're all very thankful to the alumni for all the donations and to the school for making this happen."
Check back every week for exciting updates and a photo gallery for the duration of the project.
