PHILADELPHIA – Freshman swimmer Johan Roth was named the Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week for the second consecutive week. The South African put together another spectacular meet, this time against Villanova, winning the 100 and 200 yard breaststroke events as well as the 400 yard individual medley.
 
While his time in the 200 yard breaststroke (2:07.95) did not match his time from the meet against Drexel, Roth's time in the 100 yard breaststroke (58.47) was thirty-one one-hundredths of a second faster than his time in the season-opening meet. Roth ended his meet with his first-ever swim in the 400 yard individual medley which he won in a time of 4:12.82. He remains undefeated in his individual swims through the first two meets of the season.
 
The men's swimming and diving squad is back in action on Saturday November 3 when they travel to the Spire Institute in Geneva, OH for an all-day event against St. Bonaventure and Xavier. The Spire Institute is the new host site for the 2013 Atlantic 10 Championship.
