PHILADELPHIA, PA — La Salle men's swimming and diving dropped a 175-114 decision at Penn in a regular season dual meet on Thursday evening.
Despite the loss, La Salle showcased several key performances—including a sweep of the diving events and a win in the final relay.Â
Senior Felix Jedbratt headlined the meet for the Explorers, capturing two individual victories. Jedbratt posted a 1:37.16 to win the 200-yard freestyle and later took first in the 200-yard individual medley with a 1:52.05. He also anchored the squad in the 200-yard freestyle relay, helping secure a win in the closing event with a 1:21.92 finish.
On the boards, sophomore Calvin LeBlanc swept both diving events, tallying top scores of 263.78 in the 1-meter and 287.63 in the 3-meter. These wins accounted for crucial points and underscored La Salle's strength in the diving discipline this season.
Junior Carter Perkins delivered a strong sprint showing with a victory in the 100-yard freestyle (44.45) and contributed to the winning relay team.
Junior Austin Wakefield finished second in the 50-yard freestyle at 20.89 and also played a key role in the 200-yard freestyle relay alongside Tarik Gusic, Perkins and Jedbratt.
