AUSTIN, TX – Swimming seniors Jessica Simunek and Blase Szyszko and freshman Johan Roth competed in the 200 yard breaststroke on the third and final day of competition at the 2012 AT&T Winter National Championships held at the University of Texas.
 
Roth put together a great swim, touching the wall in 2:02.26, a time that betters his Atlantic 10 top time of 2:02.39 which he set at the Bucknell Invitational two weeks ago. The time placed him 28^th in the 56-swimmer field, the lowest finish by an Explorer this weekend. Szyszko recorded a time of 2:06.63 in the event, placing him 51^st.
 
Simunek posted a 2:19.08 to finish in 44^th place. Senior Elizabeth Jordan had a solid performance, posting a 51.79 in the 100 yard freestyle to finish in 56^th place.
 
The Explorers are off from competition until January 11 when they travel to Kingston, R.I. to take on the University of Rhode Island, the University of Massachusetts, and George Washington.
