PHILADELPHIA -
The La Salle women's basketball squad continues its quest for a second straight Atlantic 10 Tournament bid on Saturday when the Explorers travel west across Pennsylvania for a 2 p.m. contest at Duquesne.

La Salle holds a 17-13 all-time lead in the series that dates back to 1983, although Duquesne has won the last four. The Dukes took an 81-65 decision last year at Tom Gola Arena.

Scouting La Salle (12-14, 6-5 Atlantic 10)...

The Explorers held an 11-point lead over third-place Dayton on Wednesday night, but a combination of stiff Flyer pressure in the second half and cold shooting down the stretch ultimately gave Dayton the 58-49 win in Gola Arena. Brittany Wilson was back in form on Wednesday night after battling an illness, leading the squad with 15 points along with a season-high-tying five steals, four rebounds, two blocks and two assists. Alexis Scott was the other Explorer in double figures, chipping in 10 points. The Explorers forced Dayton into 27 turnovers, 16 in the first half, despite the Flyers averaging 16.3 per game.

Wilson remains the team's leading scorer at 13.9 points per game, including 15.4 in league play. Scott averages 12.9 and Jada Payne chips in 9.0. However, Payne and Nadia Duncan are also averaging double figures in league games, giving La Salle four double-digit scorers since the start of conference play.

Ruvanna Campbell pulled down a team-best six rebounds on Wednesday night, all of which were on the offensive glass. Campbell leads the squad in rebounding with 8.0 boards per game and 7.2 rpg in league play. She is the team's leading shot blocker with 38 rejections, having recently broken the single-season freshman block record of 36. She needs seven more to move into a tie for third place all-time overall.

The Explorers are 3-2 on the road in league play, 6-7 on the road overall. The 6-5 Atlantic 10 record gives the squad a tie for seventh in the league standings with Duquesne.

Scouting Duquesne (18-8, 6-5 Atlantic 10)...

Duquesne is coming off of a 56-50 win at Fordham on Wednesday night to push their win streak to three. Wumi Agunbiade scored a game-high 15 points and Alex Gensler added 12, one of which was a trey that gave her Duquesne's all-time three-point lead. Carly Vendemia added 10 points off the bench.

The 18-8 Dukes outscore their opponents 68.4 to 58.4. They own wins over Miami, West Virginia and Pittsburgh although they dropped three straight league games earlier this month to Saint Joseph's, St. Bonaventure and Saint Louis.

Agunbiade leads a trio of scorers in double figures, averaging 14.9 points per game. Gensler adds 13.9 and Orsi Szecsi contributes 10.5. Agunbiade is also the team's leading rebounder, pulling down 6.7 boards per game, while Szecsi adds a second-best 6.5 rebounds.
