PHILADELPHIA – The La Salle men's basketball team returns to Gola Arena for its final regular season home game on Saturday versus St. Bonaventure at 2 PM. The Explorers will honor seniors Earl Pettis and Matt Sheehan in a pre-game ceremony at approximately 1:45 PM.

Scouting the Explorers (19-11, 8-7 A-10)

La Salle picked up a hard-fought road victory on Wednesday at George Washington, 60-56. The Explorers led from buzzer to buzzer but the Colonials rallied from a 10-point deficit late to close to a one-point Explorer lead with 21 seconds to go.

A defensive stop and foul shots by sophomore Tyreek Duren sealed the victory for La Salle. Freshman Jerrell Wright had 15 points to lead the Blue and Gold, while Pettis had 14.

Pettis, who leads the team in scoring at 15.2 ppg. and is 10th in the A-10, needs eight more points to reach 1,000 for his career. He, like his teammates in the backcourt, is a candidate for Atlantic 10 postseason honors, which will be announced early next week.

Ramon Galloway, a junior, adds 14.3 ppg. and remains in the top 25 nationally in three-point percentage. Duren scores 13.4 ppg. and leads the team in assists, while sophomore Sam Mills chips in with 11.2 ppg.

Freshman Jerrell Wright, a candidate for A-10 All-Rookie honors, averages 9.7 ppg. and a team-high 5.9 rpg.

La Salle has clinched a home game in Tuesday's Atlantic 10 First Round, which will tip-off at 7 PM from Gola Arena. Tickets will be for sale beginning at halftime of Saturday's game with St. Bonaventure as well as on Monday and Tuesday by calling the ticket office at 215-951-1999 or emailing tickets@lasalle.edu.

Scouting the Bonnies (17-10, 10-5 A-10)

St. Bonaventure has clinched a bye in the Atlantic 10 Tournament and has won four straight and five of six. Andrew Nicholson has been on a tear of late averaging 29.8 ppg. and 11.8 rpg. over his last four. He needs six points to reach 2,000 points in his career. The senior leads the team in scoring at 17.9 ppg. Demetrius Conger adds 11.9 ppg.

The two teams last met in the 2011 A-10 First Round in Olean, N.Y. The Explorers won an exciting 75-73 double-overtime contest to advance to Atlantic City and the conference quarterfinals.

The Series

St. Bonaventure leads the series 12-11 but La Salle has won three of the last four at Gola Arena.
