ARLINGTON, VA - Due to inclement weather forecasted for Saturday and Sunday, La Salle (11-9, 0-0 A-10) and George Washington will play a doubleheader beginning at 2 PM on Friday to begin Atlantic 10 play. The first game on Friday will be the first contest at the newly renovated Barcroft Park, which received a multi-million dollar facelift this offseason.
Improvements include a; press box and concessions area; new stadium seating; and a synthetic turf field with new dugouts and bullpens. Due to the ongoing construction and renovation, parking and seating for this series will be limited.
Fans are encouraged to park at the Arlington Recreation Center, located next door to Barcroft Park on South Four Mile Run Road, and walk along the path to the temporary seating area located along the first base line.

Scouting the Explorers (11-9, 0-0 A-10)
La Salle had a five-game winning streak snapped on Wednesday with a 6-3 loss to city rival Temple. The Explorers had won their previous four games via a walk-off base-hit, three of which were in extra innings.
Sophomore George Smith, Jr. continues to pace the team in hitting at .333, the first of sevenregulars above the .300 mark. Senior March Schoch comes in at .311 with 14 RBI while junior Joe Bennie has a team-high three home runs is hitting at a .308 clip.
Senior Jeff Flax (.304), junior Dan Klem (.302, team-high 15 RBI) and senior Adam Kammler (.302) also are batting over .300 while senior Brendan Norton, who leads the nation in walks and walks/game, is batting .301 with a .510 on-base percentage.
On the mound, seniors Eric Van Wyk (2-2, 3.82 ERA) and Kevin Christy (1-0, 2.70 ERA) will take the ball on Friday in the doubleheader. Christy is 13th nationally in strikeouts per nine innings and 20th in strikeouts. He also leads the A-10 in strikeouts.
Junior closer Pat Christensen is 3-1 with a 3.12 ERA and four saves. One more save and he will tie La Salle's all-time record of 28, set by Gerard Breslin from 2004-07.
Senior Caolan Ronan, freshman Mike McLeod, junior Ryan Donahue, and freshman Mark Williams have all pitched well in relief for the Explorers.
Scouting the Colonials (6-14, 0-0 A-10)
George Washington is off to a 6-14 start with three of those wins coming in the past week. The Colonials took two of three last weekend versus cross-town rival Georgetown and dropped a pair of mid week games against George Mason and Maryland this week.
GW is in the middle of the conference in batting average at .267 but ranks 14th of 14 in team ERA at 6.23.
Kenny O'Brien is 16th nationally in strikeouts per nine innings at 11.6. He is 2-1 with a 3.32 ERA and two saves. Aaron Weisberg has been impressive with a 1.93 ERA but has only two losses to show for it. He will throw in game two.
Brett Bowers leads the team in hitting at .370, while Stephen Oswald is batting .338 with a team-best 13 RBI.
