CAMDEN, N.J. - The women's varsity eight advanced to the petite final on Saturday as the Explorers competed in the 30th Memorial Murphy Cup Regatta on the Cooper River.

The varsity eight advanced to the petite final via a third place finish in its heat, where the boat clocked an 8:22.30. Bucknell won the heat with a 7:57.00. The V8 then competed in the petite final, finishing fifth out of six with a time of 8:14.89. Temple won the petite final with a time of 7:42.31.

The women's novice four rowed a strong race, finishing second out of five boats. The Explorers crossed the finish line in 10:55.89, outlasting third plae Navy by more than 35 seconds. Bucknell won the raced in 10:33.60.

The women's second varsity eight was also in action, finishing fourth out of six boats. The Explorers raced an 8:43.88, with George Washington winning the race in 7:55.38.

The Explorers return to action on Sunday, April 1, when they travel to Fairfax, Va., for the Occoquan Sprints.
