NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – Junior Swimmer Blase Szyszko has been honored with a place on the Atlantic 10 Swimming & Diving Academic All-Conference Team, as announced by the A-10 today.
 
At the A-10 Championships in February, Szyszko swept the breaststroke events, winning the 100-breast in 56.30 and the 200-breast in 2:01.35.
 
In the 200-breast, he broke a 22-year old school record.
 
The Bensalem, Pa. native also helped the 200-medley relay finish first at A-10s and post a NCAA 'B' qualifying time (1:29.07).
 
Szyszko, an Information, Science and Business Technology major, has also qualified for Olympic Trials in the 200-breast.
