Crits, Finn Lead Explorers at George Mason Invitational/Rider Invitational

The Explorers competed in the Patriot Open Invitational held on the campus of George Mason University. Nick Crits and Paul Reilly were the best finishing Explorers to cross the line in their respective races. Several top five finishes led the Explorers at the Rider Invitational.
 
Nick Crits ran the 1500 meter race in a 6th place finish. He crossed the line with a time of 3:43.99. With the time, Crits has qualified for the IC4A Championships. Nick Ross crossed the line with a time of 3:53.33 and a 15th place finish.
 
Paul Reilly crossed the line in the 800 meter race in 11th place. He finished the line with a time of 1:51.04, an IC4A qualifying time. Wayne Bartholomew finished in 23rd place with a time of 1:52.08.
 
Oren Buie finished the 100 meter dash with a time of 11.00. He finished the race in second place. Buie had a 6th place finish in the 200 meter race with a time of 22.57.

Matt Finn won the 3000 meter steeplechase race. He crossed the finish line with a time of 9:40.08. Benjamin Pershall and James Murphy crossed the line in 3rd and 4th respectively. Pershall finished with a time of 9:55.83. Murphy crossed the line with a time of 10:04.59.
 
The Explorers will compete at the Larry Ellis Princeton Invitational next weekend.
