Complete Penn Relays Results

PHILADELPHIA - The La Salle track squad wrapped up competition at the historic Penn Relays at Franklin Field on Saturday night with the running of the 4x800's.

The men's distance medley relay also competed on Friday evening.

The men's 4x800 posted a second place finish out of 26 teams in the college championship, clocking a 7:30.62, which was 2.31 seconds off UNC Wilmington's winning time. Nick Ross ran the leadoff spot, followed by Nick Crits and Wayne Bartholomew, with Paul Reilly anchoring the squad.

The DMR - Crits, Bartholomew, Reilly and Ross - ran a 9:50.47. They finished 12th out of 15 in the very competitive Distance Medley Championship of America.

The women's 4x800 ran in the college championship, clocking a 9:09.85 for 11th out of 21 teams. Karim Brooks led off, followed by Wendy Hutchinson and Taylor Hackett, with Caitlin Storbeck anchoring the relay.

The Explorers return to action next weekend when they travel to Massachusetts for the 2012 Atlantic 10 Outdoor Championships.
