Scouting the Explorers
La Salle enters Tuesday having won two of their last three, including victories over Rider last Wednesday and St. Francis (Pa.) on Saturday. Senior
Kelly Scanlon put together an impressive week, accumulating 48 kills (.222) and 63 digs in the three-game stretch, on her way to being named La Salle's 'Student-Athlete of the Week' on Monday. Classmate
Samantha Tulskie continues to shine for the Explorers, with double-doubles in two of the last three contests. Her 4.53 digs/set are good for fourth-most in the A-10.
Scouting the Tigers
Towson comes into Tuesday's match winners of their last four, with recent victories over Charlotte, Kennesaw State, UNC Asheville, and Furman. As a team, the Tigers lead the Colonial Athletic Association in hitting percentage (.275), kills/set (14.55), and assists/set (13.47). Senior Aubrey Kirven leads the conference in assists/set (12.28) and was named CAA Co-Offensive Player of the Week on Monday. Junior Dayane Van Ass ranks sixth in the conference in hitting percentage (.297) and ninth in kills/set (2.95).
