PHILADELPHIA -- The Atlantic 10 announced its end of the year awards on Thursday with two Explorers well represented. After a stellar debut campaign, freshman
Isa Lopez picked up Libero of the Year, Second Team All-Conference and All-Rookie Team honors. Junior
Elizabeth Osborn made First Team All-Conference and All-Academic Team.
Lopez arrived on the collegiate scene in spectacular fashion, digging and diving all over the floor, keeping the Explorers in countless sets. She finished seventh in the nation and first in the conference in digs per set with 5.87 and collected two Defensive Player of the Week honors.
Osborn, the offensive talisman of the team, put together the best season of her career, breaking and re-breaking personal records. She concluded with 158 kills and 71 digs across the eight matches, ranking third in the nation and top in the A-10 in kills per set (5.10), points per set (5.60) and attacks per set (13.81). In the classroom, La Salle's number 11 excelled with a 3.724 cumulative GPA as a psychology major.
