Scouting the Explorers
The Explorers wrapped up its home nonconference schedule last Saturday with a 2-1 win over Long Island. After giving up an early own goal,
Tom Baker netted the equalizer less than two minutes into the second half.
Kevin Pink came up big in his first start of the season, scoring the game winner in the 61st minute.
With an assist on the game-winning goal,
Jason Plumhoff moved back into a tie with
Joe Farrell for the team scoring lead with eight points. Both have recorded three goals and two assists apiece. Nine Explorers in total have at least one point.
The Explorers are outscoring their opponents 12-6 on the season, with eight of the team's goals coming in the second half.
Scouting the Wildcats
Villanova comes in with a 5-2 record and looking to bounce back from a tough 1-0 loss to Princeton on Sunday. Prior to that, the Wildcats topped city foe Penn 5-3.
Four 'Cats have at least five points, led by Emerson Lawrence's eight on four goals. Oscar Umar and Kyle Soroka are chipping in seven points and Will Cason has five on the season.
John Fogarty sees the majority of action in goal, recording a 1.03 goals against average and a .781 save percentage.
