Scouting the Explorers
La Salle was dropped by Villanova, Penn, and Temple over the weekend in the Big 5 Tournament at the Palestra.
Samantha Tulskie was named to the all-tournament team, accumulating 27 kills (.141) and 34 digs in the three contests.
Tulskie continues to be a bright spot for the Explorers, leading the team in kills (68) and hitting percentage (.151). Her 114 digs are good for second on the team and second-most in the Atlantic 10.
Breanna Mazalewski's 121 digs stand atop the A-10 leaderboard.
Jennifer Whelan had a strong showing over the weekend, finishing the tournament with 16 kills and 10 blocks, highlighted by a 10 kill (.360), six block performance against Penn on Saturday. Freshman
Michelle Healy continues to impress, contributing 41 assists over the weekend including a season-high 21 vs. Penn.
Scouting the Leopards
Lafayette enters play Wednesday red-hot after a record breaking start to their season. Their 5-0 record marks their best start in program history. The Leopards won the Lafayette College Volleyball Tournament over the weekend with victories over Delaware State, Fairleigh Dickinson, and St. Peter's. They fell 3-0 to Rutgers on Tuesday.
Senior Sarah Frohnapfel and sophomores Michelle Woodworth and Danielle Towslee were selected to the all-tournament team. Frohnapfel ranks fourth in the Patriot League in assists/set (7.32) while Woodworth stands second in the conference in digs/set (4.73). Towslee is among the top 10 aces/set (.50), hitting percentage (.274), and blocks/set (.86).
As a team, Lafayette ranks in the top half in the conference in every major statistical category and ranks first in opponent hitting percentage (.092) and aces/set (1.68).

La Salle will compete in the Asics Coca Cola Challenge hosted by the University of San Francisco this weekend. The Explorers will draw Cal State Northridge on Friday at 4PM (EDT) before a doubleheader on Saturday vs. San Francisco (10:30AM) and LIU Brooklyn (5PM).
