Sarana Hyatt Joins Track & Field Coaching Staff At La Salle

PHILADELPHIA – Sarana Hyatt has been added to the track and field coaching staff at La Salle, head coach Dan Ireland announced today.

“I am very happy to announce that Sarana Hyatt has been hired as an assistant coach to work with our sprint, jumps, and hurdles athletes,” Ireland said. “She will be a tremendous addition to our coaching staff.”

A former standout multi-athlete at Sacred Heart University, Hyatt enjoyed an outstanding four year career in which she garnered All-Northeast Conference, All-New England, and All-ECAC accolades on several occasions.

Hyatt graduated in '09 with a degree in Exercise Science and Nutrition, which she furthered upon graduating with a Master's in the same field in '11.

Hyatt has applied her wealth of knowledge in several clinical settings as well as health/fitness centers. She has spent time as a personal trainer at the New York Sports Clubs and The Edge Fitness Clubs, where she taught group exercise sessions and trained members in one-on-one settings.

Hyatt has accumulated a bevy of coaching experience as well, most recently at Columbia University, where she worked with multi-athletes and aided in recruiting. She has also recently spent time coaching at Nightingale-Bamford High School and Bishop Ford High School, where she used her expertise in exercise science to create workout routines and teach technique and mechanics.

Hyatt procured her certificate as a USA Track and Field Level I Coach in 2011.
