CORAL GABLES, Fla. - La Salle took a 36-30 lead into the locker room at halftime but Miami controlled play in the second half to win, 76-59, at the BankUnited Center on Wednesday night. Junior
Tyrone Garland had 20 points to lead all scorers.

Ramon Galloway scored 12 points, all in the first half, and tied sophomore
Steve Zack with a team-best eight rebounds.
Miami (9-3) was paced by Shane Larkin and Durand Scott, who each scored 18 points. Trey McKinney Jones and Kenny Kadji (11 rebounds) each had 14.
"We lost to a good team," head coach
Dr. John Giannini said. "But I couldn't be more disappointed with our defense in the last 11 minutes of that game."
The two teams remained tight early on before La Salle (9-3) used a 12-0 run late in the half that made it 36-25 with 2:04 to play before intermission. Galloway had a pair of three's and Garland had two jumpers in the run.
Miami scored the final five points of the first half and took that momentum into the first few minutes of the second. A 10-2 spurt to open the half gave the Hurricanes a 40-38 advantage. La Salle would rally to tie it at 45-45 at 11:52 to play but would not regain the lead the rest of the contest.
Larkin had 10 points in a 14-2 run that put the game out of reach for the Explorers.
Garland shot 10-for-16 for his 20 points. The rest of the team combined to shoot 13-for-46 (28.6%).
"We didn't shoot the ball well but we didn't have a ton of turnovers," Giannini said. "We got shots but we just didn't make them."
The Blue and Gold host Penn on Saturday at 2 PM at Gola Arena.
