PHILADELPHIA – The La Salle men's soccer team will host Duquesne and St. Bonaventure this weekend as it opens up its Atlantic 10 schedule.

John McCarthy made a season-high 11 saves in the effort as the Blue and Gold were outshot 34-8. McCarthy's save tally is the high water mark of any A-10 goalkeeper this season.

McCarthy has amassed 400 career saves, fourth in Explorer history. He is four saves away from tying Rich Scholer (1989-92) for third all-time. His 25 career shutouts are most in program history. He has played in 64 career games, one away from tying Scholer for second in school history among goalkeepers.
