La Salle Drops 2-1 Decision At St. Bonaventure

OLEAN, N.Y.—La Salle women's soccer dropped a 2-1 decision at St. Bonaventure surrendering two consecutive goals in the final eight minutes of play to give the Bonnies the come-from-behind win.
 
Deja Davis scored the Explorer's lone goal in the 83rd minute to give La Salle the late 1-0 lead off an assist from teammate Kelsey Haycook.  
 
The Bonas refused to fold, however, and pieced together a late game rally, netting their first goal just a minute after La Salle's tally.
 
With the score knotted at one goal apiece, the Bonnies continued to pressure La Salle's backline.  With just over two minutes to play, St. Bonaventure sending one past Explorer keeper Katie Getzinger for the definitive 2-0 lead.
 
La Salle outshot the competition, 16-9, forcing Bona goalkeeper Megan Junker to make four saves on the day.
 
With the loss the Explorers drop to 10-4-2 on the season and 2-2-1 in Atlantic 10 play.   Katie Getzinger made three saves in goal for the Explorers, dropping her record to 6-2-0 on the season with the loss.
 
The Blue and Gold return to action on Sunday, rounding out the road trip with a 3 p.m. game at conference rival Duquesne.
