Men's Soccer Hosts Dayton on Sunday; Senior Day Festivities Will be Celebrated Pre-Game


PHILADELPHIA – The La Salle men's soccer team will host Atlantic 10 rival Dayton on Sunday at 12 PM. Senior day festivities will begin at approximately 11:45 AM.

Last Time Out
The Explorers went 0-1-1 last weekend, falling 3-0 at VCU on Friday before tying George Mason, 1-1, on Sunday. Rob Friskey netted the lone Explorer goal in the tie while John McCarthy made 11 saves in net, tied for his season high.

Explorer Notes
  • La Salle is tied for second in the A-10 standings with a 3-1-1 conference record. The Explorers trail only Saint Louis (3-0-2) and are tied with VCU.
  • The Blue and Gold are 5-2-0 at McCarthy Stadium this season and are 21-13-7 over the last five years. The Explorers have outscored their opponents at home 16-11 on the year.

  • Joe Farrell is tied for fourth in the A-10 in assists (5). La Salle is 5-0 when he registers a goal or assist.
  • Rob Friskey has tallied eight points (3 goals, 2 assists) over his last five games. He is tied for third in the A-10 in points (8) in conference games. 
  • The Explorers are 3-0 when Nick Becker notches an assist.
  • Plumhoff, Pat Sullivan, and Mike Stanton are the only three Explorers to start all 15 games this year.
