PHILADELPHIA - La Salle University is mourning the recent death of sophomore golfer Morgan Dougherty, who passed away on Tuesday morning. Morgan is a business major and graduate of La Salle College High School. He was 19.

He played two seasons with the men's golf team. His final round was his collegiate low at the Seton Hall Intercollegiate.

"We all loved Mo," head coach Brad Kane said. "He was one of the nicest, if not THE nicest, guy on the team.  He always cared about others, often more than himself.  We already miss his presence and have already made the decision as a team to play the spring season in his memory."

Morgan is the son of Michael and Tina Dougherty and the brother of William and Mackenzie.

A Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, November 16 at 11:00am at Saint Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church, 856 Euclid Avenue, Warrington. A viewing will precede the Funeral Mass at the Church from 9:00am until the Mass at 11:00am.
