PHILADELPHIA –Johnnie Shuler (Washington, D.C. / Roosevelt) has signed a National Letter of Intent to play men's basketball at La Salle, head coach Dr. John Giannini announced today.

"Johnnie is a high character person who brings a high level of energy and toughness," Giannini said. "He has outstanding quickness and instincts. He fits our style of play and our philosophy of winning with chemistry and character. We are very excited about Johnnie joining us."
 
Shuler (6-0, 160) averaged 11.6 ppg. in leading Roosevelt High School to a 26-4 record and a spot in the DCIAA championship game last season. He was named to Second Team All-Met as a junior and spent his sophomore year at DeMatha Catholic High School.
 
He plays AAU for the DC Warriors.
