GENEVA, Oh. – The La Salle women's swimming and diving team picked up a 179.5-154 win over St. Bonaventure and fell, 181-147, to Duquesne in a tri-meet on Saturday afternoon at the Spire Institute.
Kelsey Jenkinson posted the top times in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:05.91) and 200-yard breaststroke (2:21.24) as she continued her marvelous first season as an Explorer.
The Explorer women owned the 1650-yard freestyle with the top three times.
Colleen Larkin led the way (17:31.23), followed by
Greta Reichert (17:42.98) and
Hayley Miles (17:57.76). Larkin touched the wall at 5:08.33 in the 500-yard freestyle, good for a second place finish.
Katie Snee touched the wall at 24.59 in the 50-yard freestyle, finishing second.
Amina Wilson placed second in the 200-yard backstroke with a 2:09.67 followed by a third place finish from
Chelsey Curran (2:10.75).
The 200-yard medley relay team notched the top time, netting a 1:49.41. The 200-yard freestyle relay came in second, as Snee,
Tanawan Sukonthapanich, Wilson, and
Sarah Finn combined for a 1:38.57.
The Explorer women owned the diving board on Saturday, with four of the top five scores in the 1-meter and 3-meter.
Shauna Hannings earned a 204.75 in the 1-meter, good for the high score.
Dahlia Gordon was the top performer in the 3-meter with a 225.83.
La Salle returns to action Saturday, November 9 at Kirk Pool in a tri-meet vs. Delaware and Rider at 10 AM.
