Men’s Swimming & Diving Still in Third after Day Two of Bucknell Invitational

LEWISBURG, Pa. – The La Salle men's swimming and diving team kept its third place standing through day two of the Bucknell Invitational. Johan Roth highlighted the day with a second place finish in the 100-yard breaststroke (56.73).

Strahinja Stankovic swam a 59.77 in the finals and Jerry Gravel posted a 58.80. The tandem combined for 31 Explorer points in the event.

The 200-yard medley relay (Derr, Roth, Fischer, Cabral) registered a third place time of 1:33.48.

Stefan Sharpe swam a 1:42.20 in the 200-yard freestyle final, good for fourth place. Cameron Cabrera clocked a 1:45.19, earning 14th place.

Justin Hughes (51.34), Cameron Fadley (51.60), and Greg Fischer (52.03) each picked up points for the Explorers in the 100-yard butterfly, placing 12th, 13th, and 14th respectively.

Hughes came in 11th in the 100-yard backstroke, swimming a 51.19 in the final. Dave Derr notched a 51.79 and came in seventh.

The Explorers lead Binghamton by a slim 22 points entering day three. Yale sits atop the standings with 1,011.50.
