LEWISBURG, Pa. – The La Salle women's swimming and diving team finished fifth at the Bucknell Invitational, totaling 735.5 team points.
Kelsey Jenkinson was the lone Explorer to place first in an event, clocking a 2:15.74 in the 200-yard breaststroke final.
Greta Reichert (16:47.79) and
Colleen Larkin (17:01.08) placed second and third, respectively, in the 1650-yard freestyle, combining for 55 points with their finishes.
Hayley Miles came in eighth with a 17:27.27.
Chelsey Curran swam a 2:04.68 in the 200-yard backstroke final, earning third place.
Amina Wilson touched the wall at 2:05.75, good for 12
th.
Tanawan Sukonthapanich was the first Explorer to cross the finish line in the 100-yard freestyle with a sixth-place time of 52.52.
Kaitlyn Hay came in 15
th with a 54.10.
Julia Mann registered a 2:08.53 in the 200-yard butterfly, good for 10
th place.
The 400-yard freestyle relay (Sukonthapanich, Hay, Finn, Curran) combined for a 3:34.39, placing fifth.
Bucknell won the event with 1870 team points. Fordham came in second with 1092.5.
The Explorers will compete at the USA Swimming Nationals from Dec. 5-7, hosted by the University of Tennessee.
