Scouting the Explorers (RPI: 40)
La Salle has ridden the success of its guards all year long, led by A-10 first-team selection and USBWA All-District selection Ramon Galloway. Galloway leads the team in points/game (17.0), assists/game (3.8), steals (60), and three point field goals (80). The senior has hit the 20-point plateau on 11 occasions this season.

Junior point guard Tyreek Duren was selected to A-10's second-team and sits at 15.0 points/game and 3.3 assists/game. Duren also ranks second on the squad in steals (53). As a team, the Blue and Gold average 8.1 steals/game, second-most in the conference.

Junior Sam Mills has stymied many of the A-10's best perimeter scorers this season with his defensive abilities and has found his stroke from behind the arc in the second half of the season. Mills is 17 for his last 34 (50 percent) from long range. Junior Tyrone Garland provides instant offense off the bench for La Salle and has led the Explorers in scoring the last two games. Garland is averaging 12.9 points in 23.9 minutes/game. Sophomore D.J. Peterson shoots the three ball at 41 percent (30-73) and plays a key role in the Explorers' perimeter defense.

La Salle's guards have been sturdy with the rock all year long as the Explorers boast the A-10's third-best turnover margin (+3.17) and assist/turnover ratio (1.2).

Sophomore forward Jerrell Wright (10.3 ppg, 6.9 rpg) has played exceptionally well down the stretch, hitting double figures in five of the Explorers last seven games. He's also yanked down 50 rebounds over the last five games and blocked seven shots.

With Steve Zack having missed the last three games with a sprained foot and declared out for Wednesday's game, Wright picked a good time to step up his game on both ends of the floor.

Scouting the Broncos (RPI: 44)
Boise State lost two its last three games, most recently falling 73-67 to San Diego State in the Mountain West Conference quarterfinals. Coached by Leon Rice, the Broncos play a style similar to La Salle, one that emphasizes offensive efficiency. Boise State ranks first in the MWC in scoring (73.3 ppg) and comes in 13th nationally in three point field goal percentage (.391).

Sophomore swing man Anthony Drmic is the Broncos' most potent offensive weapon, pouring in 17.3 points/game (2nd in MWC) while shooting 46 percent from the field and 39 percent from three. Junior guard Jeff Elorriaga is the nation's fifth-best three point shooter (.451) and averages 10.3 points/game.

Sophomore point guard Derrick Marks is the conference's fifth-leading scorer (16.3 ppg) and dishes out 3.9 assists/game. He finished the season first in the MWC in steals/game (1.8).

The Broncos outrebound their opponents 33.9 – 29.7 on average behind junior forward Ryan Watkins' 6.8/game. Watkins is the Broncos most imposing post presence, averaging 8.5 points/game at a 61 percent clip.

Much like La Salle, Boise State rotates eight players that average at least 13 minutes/game.

Last Time Out
The Explorers fell, 69-58, to Butler in the Atlantic 10 quarterfinals on Friday at the Barclays Center. Tyrone Garland led all scorers with 17 points (5-10 FG, 3-5 3-PT, 4-5 FT) while Tyreek Duren added 16 (7-12 FG, 2-5 3-PT, 0-1 FT). Jerrell Wright recorded his fourth double-double (14 pts, 11 reb) of the year and chipped in with two blocks and two steals.
