PHILADELPHIA – The La Salle baseball team will host Richmond in a three-game Atlantic 10 set beginning on Thursday. The series will conclude a 10-game home stand for the Explorers, who have posted a 5-2 record at Hank DeVincent Field this season.

La Salle jumped on Villanova early, but the Wildcats scored the game's last four runs to secure a 5-3 victory over the Explorers on Tuesday afternoon at DeVincent Field. Junior outfielder
Justin Korenblatt (2-3) was lone Explorer to register a multi-hit game in the defeat. Four La Salle relievers successfully combined to throw 3.1 scoreless innings to finish the game.

Senior reliever Pat Christensen saved back-to-back-to-back games over the weekend against Fordham, picking up A-10 Co-Pitcher of the Week and Big 5 Pitcher of the Week honors. The La Jolla, Calif. native is on the NCBWA Stopper of the Year Watch List for the third consecutive year. He has struck out 24 hitters in 19.1 innings (11.2 K/9).

Senior starting pitcher Ryan Donohue notched his first victory of the season last Friday over Fordham. Donohue has started on the hill in four of La Salle's 7 wins this season.

Sophomore starting pitcher Shane Hollman earned his first collegiate victory over the Rams on Saturday, tossing six shutout innings. Hollman boasts the staff's second best K/9 ratio (9.8).

Junior starting pitcher Shawn O'Neill has won his last two outings, amassing 14.2 innings with 14 strikeouts while surrendering only one earned run. He was named A-10 Pitcher of the Week two weeks ago for his complete game shutout vs. Chicago State (3/17). Opposing hitters are batting only .195 this season off O'Neill, the best mark on the staff.

The Spiders enter the weekend third in the A-10 in batting average (.288), sixth in team ERA (3.91), and second in fielding percentage (.973).
