PHILADELPHIA – The La Salle baseball team will entertain Delaware State on Wednesday afternoon in a non-conference game at Hank DeVincent Field. The Explorers are coming off an Atlantic 10 series victory over Saint Joseph's over the weekend.

Sophomore Mark Williams comes in as the conference's tenth-leading hitter (.361) while ranking ninth in on-base percentage (.432), and fourth in slugging percentage (.518). Williams is batting .415 in conference play this season and has reached base safely in all but one A-10 game.

Senior Dan Klem is batting .340 in A-10 play and has hit safely in his last five conference games. In that span, the third baseman is 12 for his last 22 (.545) with six runs scored.

Sophomore Kevin Conroy drove home two runs vs. Saint Joseph's on Sunday, good for his fifth multi-RBI game on the season, the most on the club.

Sophomore Kevin Baron leads the squad in multi-hit games (13) and went 7-for-12 (.583) with a walk and HBP in the three game set vs. the Hawks over the weekend. Baron is the Explorers second-leading hitter in conference play at .386.

Sophomore Justin Korenblatt has recorded 12 multi-hit games on the season and has hit safely in three of his last four games.

Freshman Collin McGowan is hitting .256 in A-10 play as opposed to his .162 clip in non-conference games.

Senior Pat Christensen has recorded a win or save in 10 of La Salle's 14 victories this season. The senior has registered a 2-0 record with 1.15 ERA in A-10 play this season while picking up five saves. He has struck out 19 batters and walked only three in conference play as well.
