Schedule of La Salle's Events
PHILADELPHIA - The La Salle men's track and field program will send nine student-athletes to the 119th running of the Penn Relays, set to begin Thursday, April 25. Three Explorers will compete in the 5000m Championships while two relay teams will test their skills against some of the nation's best.
Vince Perozze,
Zach Sullivan, and
Ian Barnhill will kick things off for the Explorer men on Thursday evening at 9:20 p.m. in the 5000m Championship. La Salle's distance medley relay will race on Friday at 2:35 p.m.
Nick Crits,
Wayne Bartholomew,
Paul Reilly, and
Alfredo Santana are slated to represnet the Blue and Gold. Saturday afternoon at 4:40 p.m., La Salle's 4x400 relay team will take the stage, led by
Sean Mallon, Reilly, Bartholomew, and anchored by
Brett Shepherd.
The Penn Relays Carnival is the the longest tenured track meet in the country, beginning in 1895, and features top high school, college, and professoinal track athletes from over 60 countries.
