PHILADELPHIA - La Salle Athletics is encouraging fans to wear blue and gold on August 30 in support of College Colors Day, the second-annual national event that promotes college spirit.

College Colors Days is an annual celebration dedicated to promoting the traditions and spirit that embody the college experience by encouraging fans across America to wear their favorite college or university apparel throughout the day on August 30.

"The success from last year, with the men's basketball team reaching the Sweet Sixteen and women's soccer winning the Atlantic 10 Championship, gives us a lot to look forward to this year. College Colors Day is another opportunity to show our school pride and show everyone that La Salle has the best fans," said Michelle DeLong, Marketing Assistant and Promotions Coordinator.

La Salle Athletics is taking College Colors Day to the next level this year by encouraging fans to wear blue and gold, or any La Salle gear, every Friday for the upcoming academic year. Fans can share pictures of themselves, family and friends wearing their favorite blue and gold outfits by uploading to the La Salle Athletics Facebook page, Twitter page or Instagram. Fans with the most school spirit will be selected and featured on La Salle Athletics social media sites throughout the year.
