Men’s Soccer Hosts Lehigh on Saturday


PHILADELPHIA – Coming off a heartbreaking loss at Drexel on Tuesday, the La Salle men's soccer team will look to get back in the win column on Saturday, when it hosts Lehigh at 1 PM at McCarthy Stadium. The Explorers hold a 15-9-3 edge in the all-time series and defeated the Mountain Hawks 2-0 last season.

Last Time Out
The Explorers dropped a 1-0 decision at Drexel on Tuesday evening as the Dragons scored its lone goal with seven seconds remaining in regulation. Senior goalkeeper John McCarthy notched six saves in the loss.

Mountain Hawk Notes
  • Lehigh won its first match of the season on Sunday (9/15) over Yale, 1-0.
  • The Mountain Hawks have scored only twice this season, with senior Ben Wysocki and freshman Danny Gonzalez each finding the net once.
  • Junior goalkeeper Kevin Motylewski has played every minute this season for Lehigh, posting a .727 save percentage behind 16 saves. He made four saves in the shutout win over Yale on Sunday.
  • The Mountain Hawks rank near the bottom of the Patriot League in nearly every offensive statistical category.
  • Lehigh was picked to finish eighth in the conference's preseason coaches poll.
