BALTIMORE, Md. – The La Salle women's swimming and diving team won a hotly contested meet on Saturday afternoon against Loyola (Md.), 156-143. The Explorers took first in nine of the day's 16 events.
The 200-yard medley relay team (Curran, Jenkinson, Wilson, Snee) began the afternoon with a first place finish, clocking a 1:50.92.
Colleen Larkin finished first in the 1000-yard freestyle (10:29.57) and 500-yard freestyle (5:09.89).
Kelsey Jenkinson took home a pair of first place finishes as well, notching a 1:07.48 in the 100-yard breaststroke and 2:28.52 in the 200-yard breaststroke.
Tanawan Sukonthapanich won two events, registering a 24.43 in the 50-yard freestyle and 53.67 in the 100-yard freestyle.
Julia Mann won the 200-yard butterfly with a 2:11.14.
On the diving board,
Kelly Quinn came in second in the 1-meter dive with a 241.05. She came in third on the 3-meter board with a 215.31.
The Explorers are back at it on Friday, February 1, when they travel across to Penn for a meet beginning at 11 AM.
