PHILADELPHIA - Eileen Dzwill scored her first career goal but the La Salle field hockey squad suffered a 5-1 setback to No. 15 Temple on Sunday at Geasey Field.

Amber Youtz led the Owls (10-4) with a hat trick, including the game winner in the 13th minute.

The Explorers fall to 6-6 with the loss.

The Owls got three first-half goals, including two by Youtz. She opened scoring at the 12:08 mark on a breakaway shot. Alyssa Delp scored at 15:08, and Youtz followed up with her second goal just 41 seconds later to give the Owls a 3-0 lead that held through halftime.

Dzwill got the Explorers on the board in the 40th minute, as Olivia Leaman received the penalty corner from Maddy Tettelbach and set up Dzwill for the shot. 

Katie Foran put the Owls up 4-1 in the 63rd minute, and Youtz capped off her hat trick with just 38 seconds remaining in the game.

The Owls dominated on shots attempted, 23-4, and took eight corners to the Explorers' two.

Rachel Hartman made nine saves on the day and Temple's Lizzy Millen recorded one save.

The Explorers remain on the road next weekend, facing Saint Louis on Friday and Missouri State on Sunday.
