PHILADELPHIA—La Salle women's Swimming and Diving topped cross-town rival Drexel, 180-119, Friday evening in a dual meet held at Kirk Pool on La Salle University's campus.
Senior
Amina Wilson paced the Explorers, winning the 50-yard freestyle and 100-yard butterfly while swimming legs in the first-place finishing 200-yard Freestyle and 400-yard Medley relays.
Other top finishers include
Paige Frishkorn, who continued her dominance on the diving board this season winning the 3-meter dive and finishing second in the 1-meter event, and
Emma Smith, who won the 1000-yard Freestyle by more than four seconds (10:27.31).
The win comes on the heels of a narrow loss to a talented Villanova squad yesterday evening and improves the team's record to 1-1 on the season.
"The teams responded well to the back to back meet," said head coach
Matt Nunnally. "If these meets are indicative of where our season is headed, it is going to be a fun year. But we need to remind the team this is a long season and it has only just begun."
