GENEVA, Ohio – The La Salle University men's swimming and diving team defeated St. Bonaventure 198-130 in a meet at the Spire Institute on Saturday.
Mattias Glenesk breezed to a win in the 1,650 yard freestyle, clocking a 15:57.84 to finish more than 30 seconds ahead of the next swimmer. The sophomore also tallied a win in the 500 yard freestyle with a 4:37.51.
Strahinja Stankovic was another top performer for the Blue and Gold, edging out teammate
Johan Roth to win the 200 yard IM with a 1:55.17. Roth took second with a 1:55.60.
Stankovic also earned a third place finish in the 200 yard breaststroke, touching the wall in 2:08.29. Roth (2:05.33) and fellow Explorer
Dimitrije Mladenovic (2:06.44) took first and second, respectively.
The Explorers are back in the pool on Saturday as they compete in a Tri-Meet with Delaware and Rider in Newark, Delaware.
