PHILADELPHIA – The La Salle men's swimming and diving team defeated George Mason 182-118 on Saturday afternoon to move to a perfect 4-0 in dual meets this season.
Fabian Bergman continues to excel in his first season with the Explorers, winning three individual races while helping
Dimitrije Mladenovic,
Jakub Bartosiewicz, and
Jonathan Cabral earn a first in the 200-yard medley relay (1:32.95).
Berman touched the wall in 50.82 to win the 100-yard backstroke, cruised to a win in the 200-yard backstroke (1:49.54) and paced the competition in the 200-yard medley (1:55.52).
Mattias Glenesk continued a strong campaign with wins in both the 1,000-yard and 500-yard freestyle events. The sophomore finished almost seven seconds ahead of the nearest swimmer in the 1,000-yard freestyle with a 9:37.17 and followed the performance with a 4:41.61 in the 500-yard event.
Mladenovic won the 100-yard breaststroke with a 56.98, while
Justin Hughes won the 200-yard freestyle (1:43.39) and
Johan Roth clinched the 200-yard breaststroke in 2:05.23.
The Explorers are back in action next weekend (Nov. 21-23) in the Bucknell Invitational at Kinney Natatorium.
