LEWISBURG, Pa. – The La Salle women's swimming and diving team tallied 729.5 points to finish 5^th of nine teams in the three-day Bucknell Invitational this weekend at Kinney Natatorium.

Freshman Emma Smith shined for the Explorers, finishing nearly five seconds ahead of the next swimmer with a time of 16:54.65 in the 1,650-yard freestyle.

Kelsey Jenkinson aced the 200-yard breaststroke, reaching the wall in 2:17.72. The junior also won Saturday's 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 1:04.76.

Bucknell won the Invitational with 1,631 points, followed by Fordham (2nd), Georgetown (3rd), and Towson (4th).  

The Explorers return to action at the USA Nationals from December 3-6.
