Explorers Host Dayton on Friday, George Mason on Sunday for Senior Day

PHILADELPHIA – The La Salle men's soccer team wraps up regular season play this weekend as they host Dayton at McCarthy Stadium on Friday night before welcoming George Mason on Sunday afternoon for Senior Day.

Scouting the Explorers
The Blue and Gold split a pair of conference games last weekend as they routed St. Bonaventue 5-0 on Friday evening before falling to Duquesne 3-1 on the road on Sunday afternoon.

Senior Pat Sullivan has scored in both of the last two games while junior Joe Farrell paces the Explorers with six goals this season.

Scouting the Flyers
Dayton is coming off a 2-1 loss to Fordham in their home finale on Sunday, and is winless in four games since a 4-1 drubbing of UMass on October 17.

UD junior Amass Amankona leads the team with five goals and seven assists while James Haupt adds five goals for the Flyers.

The Flyers hold a 12-8-1 all-time advantage over the Explorers. The Explorers downed UD in a shootout in the opening round of the A-10 tournament last year after the Flyers claimed a double-overtime win at McCarthy during the regular season.

Scouting the Patriots

The Patriots picked up a 1-0 victory over George Washington last Friday on the strength of Timi Mulgrew's goal in the 63rd minute.

Mulgrew's 13 goals this season are tied for second in the country while his seven game-winning goals this season are tied for most in the country. The senior also paces the Atlantic 10 with 28 points.

The programs met for the first time as conference members last October, playing to a 1-1 draw after a pair of overtimes. George Mason holds a 2-2-1 advantage in the all-time series.
