NEWARK, Del.- The La Salle men's swimming and diving team swept a Tri-Meet with Delaware and Rider on Saturday afternoon, defeating the Blue Hens 188-110 and dropping the Broncs 179-119.

Fabian Bergman, Dimitrije Mladenovic, Jakub Bartosiewicz, and Jonathan Cabral got the La Salle men going with a win in the 200-yard medley relay (1:33.12).

Bergman had a strong individual showing as well, capturing three individual events. The freshman paced the 100-yard backstroke (49.91), the 200-yard backstroke (1:48.49), and the 200-yard IM (1:53.56).   

Mladenovic also won a pair of individual events for the Explorers. The freshman led the pack in the 100-yard breaststroke with a 56.82 before taking the 200-yard breaststroke in 2:06.34.

The men look to continue their strong start on Saturday when they host George Mason in Kirk Pool at 12 p.m.
