NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – Freshman
Jordan Bryan earned the Atlantic 10 Track and Field Rookie Performer of the Week following his performance at the Jack Pryah Invitational.
The Broomall, Pa. native finished first and second in his two events last weekend in Haverford, Pa. Bryan won the men's high jump with a winning jump of 6'4'' which was two inches better than the second place finisher. He finished second in the men's long jump thanks to a distance of 22'7'' a full eight inches better than third place.
"Jordan opened his season in fine fashion, putting together two solid performances in the High Jump and Long Jump," added Coach
Tom Peterson. "It was great for the whole team to see him competing for the win at his first meet in a La Salle uniform."
Bryan and the rest of the Explorers will return to action after the New Years as they head to New York to participate in the UAlbany Great Dane Classic on January 16.
